Project Description

The Queenstown Lakes District Sports Field Plan was developed to provide a district-wide, coordinated approach to the provision of sports fields and assist decision makers in identifying future investment priorities.

RSL’s Role

RSL was required to assess all current rectangular and cricket fields and supporting amenities, and the potential development options of various sites. The optimising of existing facilities was a key focus.

Project Outcome

This Plan identified the strategies required to ensure Queenstown Lakes District Council can provide an acceptable level of service now and into the future. It provided district-wide recommendations, as well as recommendations specific to the Wānaka and Whakatipu areas.
