Project Description

The Marshland Hall Trust (MHT), in partnership with Christchurch City Council (CCC), commissioned this feasibility study to explore the development of a new community facility to replace the former Marshland Hall, which was sold in 2021.

RSL's Role

RSL led delivery of the feasibility study, with support and guidance provided by a Project Steering Group of Residents Association representatives. Key project components included stakeholder and community engagement, needs assessment and options analysis, a preliminary concept plan development, capital and operating budgets, consideration of the best governance and management structure and recommendations.

Project Outcome

The feasibility study assessed the viability of establishing a dedicated community facility and provided concept plans, cost estimates, and governance recommendations to support future project planning and funding.
