Project Description
Christchurch City Council and the Lyttelton Recreation Centre Trust commissioned this report to explore future investment options for the Mānawa Kāwhiu Lyttelton Recreation Centre.
This feasibility study considers the key drivers for the project, identifies the need for change and provides a suite of options to meet some or all of the needs.
RSL's Role
RSL’s role was to independently assess the feasibility of future investment and improvements for the Lyttelton Recreation Centre, with the support of a Project Steering Group consisting of Trust members. Key project components included stakeholder and community engagement, options analysis, prioritisation and development of recommendations.
Project Outcome
The feasibility study provided a clear, evidence-based roadmap for the future development of the Lyttelton Recreation Centre. It identified a staged approach to improve accessibility, modernise facilities, strengthen governance, and support the Centre's long-term sustainability as a community hub.
