Project Description

The purpose of this project was to enable a key community funder to better understand the state of community-owned assets across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty District. The focus was on clubrooms, school playgrounds and school outdoor court/turf facilities.

RSL's Role

RSL led delivery of the project, with direction and guidance provided by the client. Key components of the project included facility stocktake, engagement with owners to obtain self-reported condition assessments, gap analysis, high-level cost estimation, consideration of other community funder approaches and providing recommendations for future policy direction.

Project Outcome

A concise report with conclusions and recommendations. The information outlined the potential future pipeline of funding demands and provided key context to inform the organisation’s future funding policy for these asset types.
